ART IS IN THE HEART
St. Stephen’s Art and Craft Show Celebrates 19 Years in the Heart of Coconut Grove

COCONUT GROVE, FL – Turning 19 this year, the St. Stephen’s Arts and Craft Show has survived the changing landscape and urbanization of the Grove to become an event firmly entrenched in the heart of the community. The art show, held on the 96 year-old grounds of St. Stephen’s church, has set out to differentiate itself from other local art shows, by engraining art in the community and providing a variety of cultural, spiritual, entertainment and public service programming to its Coconut Grove residents.

As the ever-beating Heart of the Grove, St. Stephen’s non-denominational approach to artistic expression will attract over 170 artists and more than 500,000 art lovers to this year’s premier art exhibition.

“Art is in the heart of everyone,” stated Erin Clancy, the show’s director. “Although this event is hosted by St. Stephen’s parish, we hope to attract people of all faiths to celebrate the history and traditions that Coconut Grove holds so dear through its vibrant, living art.”

Artists from across the country will be displaying their unique and stunning works, ranging from ceramics, glass, and jewelry to photography, sculptures and watercolors. Visitors will also be to purchase the highly prized 2007 Art Show poster, designed by award-winning artist, Lyse Anthony. Anthony exhibits her artwork at some of the most prestigious juried art festivals and outdoor exhibitions and her pieces are now part of many private collections throughout the United States and around the world.

Rated amongst the top 10 community art exhibitions in the country, the St. Stephen’s Art and Craft is show an event not to be missed. The occasion will also feature arts and crafts for children, delicious food and wine for the grown ups, plus much more to tantalize the senses with the essence of the Grove.

The St. Stephen’s Arts and Craft show is free, and all are welcome to join in the festivities this Presidents Day Weekend.
